I've found a great web site at stupidvideos.com. I've been watching the videos there and have found a few. Here's one:

<object width="448" height="336"><param name="movie" value="http://images.stupidvideos.com/2.0.1/swf/video.swf?sa=1&sk=7&si=2&i=221880"></param><embed src="http://images.stupidvideos.com/2.0.1/swf/video.swf?sa=1&sk=7&si=2&i=221880" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="448" height="336"></embed></object>

That's insanity. Thank god for T-cast (a system which tells you to fly higher or lower to avoid oncoming aircraft)

Once again QL proves that all good threads actually start here not end up here. Long live the RR.

I remember the RR in it's infancy NES. I just knew it was going to be something special.

Thanks NES.

I noticed that after midnight Eastern time most flights are going from the US to Europe rather than the other way around. I'm guessing that is so the travellers can arrive in Europe in the morning. Then, it reverses itself later in the day where there are more flights from Europe to the US.

Maybe I'll start a Stupidvideos Science thread and play some cool videos from their Science section.

There are a couple of episodes of 'Air Emergency' and 'seconds to disaster' on the nat geo channel. And planes collide. It is scary stuff.

This is what happens when you don't obey T-cast

Thanks. Don't know where I got the extra T from I guess my ears decieved me.

No problem. This article is about a crash last year that directly involved (a lack of) TCAS. It's long, but a good read if you're interested in this sort of thing.

Sad. The Russian jet had a bunch of kids going to Spain. It turns out that the father of 2 kids killed in the accident stabbed the Air Traffic Controller to death.
